The State Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC), chaired by Large and Medium Industries Minister M.B. Patil, has given the green light to 83 industrial projects across Karnataka, representing a substantial investment of ₹6,252.86 crore. This significant approval is projected to generate more than 30,054 employment opportunities, marking a crucial step towards the state's economic development. A cornerstone of this initiative is the "Beyond Bengaluru" strategy, with 69 of the approved projects slated for establishment outside the Bengaluru Urban and Bengaluru Rural districts. This focus aims to decentralize industrial growth, extending its benefits to tier-2 and tier-3 cities and fostering more equitable regional development. Key sectors benefiting from these investments include integrated industrial parks, aerospace and defence manufacturing, food processing, IT services, sugar and ethanol production, and renewable energy. Notable projects include a ₹453.10 crore sugar and ethanol plant in Vijayapura district by Shrishail Mallikarjun Distillery Pvt Ltd and a ₹397.43 crore jaggery manufacturing facility by EID Parry India Ltd in Bagalkot district. Additionally, projects for integrated industrial parks in Doddaballapura (Bengaluru Rural district) by Jaswin Ventures and Jampana Construction will bring substantial investment and job creation to the region. This strategic distribution of projects underscores the government's commitment to broad-based industrialization, ensuring that economic prosperity is not confined to the capital but spreads throughout Karnataka.
