The State Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC) of the Karnataka government, led by Large and Medium Industries Minister M.B. Patil, has given its nod to 83 new industrial projects, representing a substantial investment of ₹6,252.86 crore. This strategic move, sanctioned on August 12, 2026, aims to invigorate the state's industrial landscape and create approximately 30,054 employment opportunities. The approvals cover a diverse array of sectors, including integrated industrial parks, aerospace and defence manufacturing, food processing, IT services, and renewable energy.
A key highlight of this approval cycle is the government's strong emphasis on its 'Beyond Bengaluru' initiative. Out of the 83 approved projects, a remarkable 69 are planned for locations outside the Bengaluru Urban and Bengaluru Rural districts. This deliberate strategy seeks to decentralize industrial growth, ensuring that economic development and job creation are distributed more equitably across various tier-2 and tier-3 regions of Karnataka. By fostering growth beyond the capital, the state intends to alleviate pressure on Bengaluru's infrastructure while simultaneously boosting local economies. Notable investments include projects by Jaswin Ventures Private Limited and Jampana Construction Private Limited for integrated industrial parks in Doddaballapura taluk, Bengaluru Rural district, demonstrating continued investment in key peripheral areas.
Minister M.B. Patil highlighted that 24 projects, each with investments exceeding ₹50 crore, account for a combined ₹4,702.99 crore and are projected to generate 25,170 jobs. Additionally, 57 projects with investments ranging from ₹15 crore to ₹50 crore will bring in ₹1,291.87 crore and create 4,884 jobs. This comprehensive approach underscores Karnataka's commitment to establishing itself as a premier destination for both domestic and global capital, fostering a conducive business environment, and driving sustainable regional development.
