Mudhol Taluk Celebrates Teachers' Day 2026 as MLA Promises New BEO Office and Guru Bhavana

The taluk-level Teachers' Day 2026 celebrations, felicitation of retired teachers, and Pratibha Puraskar award ceremony for teachers' children were held with grand fervour at the Hemaraddi Mallamma Kalyan Mantap in Mudhol town, Bagalkote district. The program was jointly organized by the District Panchayat, District School Education Department, Taluk Administration, Taluk Panchayat, the Block Education Office (BEO), and the Mudhol Teachers' Day Committee. Inaugurating the ceremony, Mudhol MLA and former minister R. B. Thimmapur recalled his childhood schooling at the primary government school in his native Uttur village in Mudhol taluk. He shared nostalgic memories of how his teachers appointed him as the 'School Chief Minister' due to his academic performance. Addressing the gathering of educators, Thimmapur stressed the importance of updating teaching methodologies with modern technology and instilling ethical values in children above caste and religious lines. Responding to long-pending infrastructure demands in Mudhol, the MLA assured that land and financial support for constructing a new Block Education Office (BEO) building and a dedicated Guru Bhavana for teachers would be sanctioned swiftly. During the event, wheelchairs were also distributed to specially-abled students through the BEO and Block Resource Centre initiatives. MLC Hanamantha Nirani, Tahsildar Dr. Chikkappa Nayak, Taluk Panchayat EO Raghavendra Kallimani, BEO S. M. Mulla, and local civic leaders participated in the celebration.
