Rs 30-Crore Railway Flyover Inaugurated at Budhikote Circle in Bangarapet

Union Minister of State for Railways V. Somanna inaugurated a newly constructed railway flyover at Budhikote Circle in Bangarapet town, Kolar district, built at an estimated cost of ₹30 crore. The flyover addresses chronic traffic congestion at the busy railway crossing, providing a safer and faster route for commuters and local transport across the region. Speaking at the inauguration event, the minister highlighted that the infrastructure project was completed to ensure smooth movement of road and rail traffic. He noted that the central government has prioritized key railway development projects across Karnataka, including underpasses and flyovers to eliminate dangerous level crossings. Somanna further announced that additional infrastructure projects, including a proposed flyover near Kamasamudra in Kolar district, are currently being planned and executed. The opening of the flyover brings significant relief to local residents, commuters, and daily travelers between Bangarapet, Kolar, and surrounding rural areas who previously faced prolonged delays at the railway gate. Local administrative officials, including KGF Superintendent of Police Shivanshu Rajput and other community representatives, attended the event.
