Student Union Inaugurated at SV Mahantesh Women's College in Ilkal

The Student Union for the academic year 2026–27 was officially inaugurated at Sri Vijaya Mahantesh Arts and Commerce College for Women in Ilkal, Bagalkote district. The ceremony was organized at the S. R. Kanthi Hall in the Mahanta Gangotri campus under the auspices of Sri Vijaya Mahantesh Vidya Vardhaka Sangha. The event was held under the divine presence and presidency of Dr. Gurumahanta Swamiji of Chittaragi Sri Vijaya Mahantesh Samsthana Math, Ilkal, who delivered blessings to the incoming student leaders. Renowned writer Dr. Vijayashree Sabarada from Bengaluru formally inaugurated the union. Addressing the gathering, she emphasized that higher education institutions serve as vital platforms for young women to discover their inner strengths, nurture creativity, and develop essential leadership skills required to contribute meaningfully to society. Senior literary figure Dr. Basavaraja Sabarada attended as the chief guest and highlighted that students represent the future architects of the nation.
