Three Youths Killed as Motorcycle Hits Parked Vehicle Near Bannikoppa in Kukanuru

Three young residents from Nargund in Gadag district lost their lives in a major road accident near Bannikoppa village in Kukanuru taluk of Koppal district on August 26, 2026. The tragic incident occurred on National Highway 67 when the motorcycle they were riding on collided with a stationary mini-goods vehicle parked along the roadside. According to police sources, all three individuals were traveling together on a single motorcycle from Nargund toward Koppal when the crash took place. Due to the severe impact of the collision, all three riders sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot before medical help could arrive at the location. Upon being notified of the accident, personnel from the Kukanuru Police Station arrived at the scene to conduct an initial investigation and clear the highway for normal traffic. The bodies were subsequently shifted to the local government hospital for post-mortem procedures before being handed over to their respective families.
