Veteran Sandalwood film director and actor Om Prakash Rao has unexpectedly exited 'Bigg Boss Kannada Season 13' following a health setback inside the reality show's house. Rao, who had entered the competition hosted by Kiccha Sudeep when it premiered earlier in September 2026, was rushed to a private hospital near Bidadi after experiencing severe physical discomfort, leg pain, and elevated blood pressure and sugar levels. Speaking to the media following his exit, the filmmaker explained that difficulties adjusting to the food served inside the house triggered severe health complications. Rao mentioned that despite informing the production crew about his pre-existing medical conditions prior to joining the show, the physical stress and sleeping arrangements in the aircraft-themed setting aggravated his condition. The production team promptly arranged for medical care at Aaradhya Hospital in Bidadi before Rao was discharged to recover at home. His abrupt departure has disappointed fans of Kannada television and cinema, as Rao was regarded as one of the standout veteran personalities of the season.
