The traditional Mosaru Kudike festival was celebrated with high devotion and civic participation at Peruvodi Sri Vishnumurthy Temple in Sullia taluk on Sri Krishna Janmashtami. Organized jointly by local youth and women's associations, the event featured sports contests, devotional bhajans, Mahapooja, and felicitations for high-scoring students.
Konkani Catholics across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts celebrated Monti Fest on September 8 with religious devotion and traditional harvest rituals. The festival featured the blessing of newly harvested paddy corn, floral offerings by children, and traditional family feasts.
The Mulki police have arrested two additional suspects in connection with the theft of sacred ornaments and divine valuables from Sri Kordabbu Daivasthana in Kilpady. This brings the total number of individuals arrested in the case to four.
