East Zone ended a 13-year wait for domestic red-ball glory by securing the Duleep Trophy title following a commanding performance against South Zone at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Captained by Ishan Kishan, East Zone dominated the five-day final from the outset, piling up a mammoth 708 runs in their first innings. Kishan led from the front with a spectacular double-century of 270, while key contributions across the order put South Zone under immense pressure.
