Gudibande Post-Mortem Reveals Battery and Lighter in Stomach, Shocking Doctors

Doctors at the Gudibande Government Hospital were left in disbelief during an autopsy on a 28-year-old youth when they extracted multiple foreign metallic objects from his digestive tract. The deceased, identified as Mahesh, a resident of Nallakaddirenahalli in Chikkaballapur taluk, had been staying at his sister's residence in Bapuji Nagar in Gudibande town. On August 29, Mahesh died under suspicious circumstances inside the house. While initial reports suggested that he had hanged himself when no family members were present, police officers inspecting the spot found his body lying on the floor, raising doubts about the actual cause of death. Consequently, the body was shifted to the Gudibande Government Hospital for a detailed post-mortem examination. During the medical examination, doctors extracted battery cells, a lighter, key rings, hairpins, medicine tubes, and iron pieces from Mahesh's stomach. Following this unexpected discovery, the Gudibande police registered a case of suspicious death and initiated a thorough investigation. Authorities are probing whether Mahesh swallowed these items due to severe mental distress or mounting debt issues. Family members disclosed that Mahesh was struggling with financial debts and had previously attempted suicide by drinking poison.
