Land Acquisition for Tumakuru Industrial Node Advances to Attract ₹7,000 Crore Project

Land acquisition for the proposed Tumakuru Industrial Manufacturing Hub, designated as a key node under the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor, is progressing smoothly, according to Karnataka Large and Medium Industries Minister M.B. Patil. Speaking virtually during a national apex monitoring authority meeting chaired by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the minister highlighted that physical and financial milestones are being met on schedule for project completion by 2027. The state government has allocated 1,736 acres of land in Tumakuru district for the manufacturing hub. The master-planned node is designed to attract approximately ₹7,000 crore in private and industrial investments across modern manufacturing, automobile, and technology sectors. Furthermore, state planners anticipate that the initiative will generate over 88,000 employment opportunities, significantly benefiting local youth and skilled professionals in Tumakuru and surrounding taluks. For residents and entrepreneurs in Tumakuru, the steady progress of the industrial node represents a pivotal economic development. By converting rural land into an integrated industrial township with advanced infrastructure, power, and road connectivity, the project aims to transform Tumakuru into a major manufacturing destination.
