Ministry of Education Launches BRICS Bharat Innovates Exposition to Showcase 37 Indian Deep-Tech Startups in New Delhi

The Union Ministry of Education, in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs, officially announced the hosting of the 'BRICS Bharat Innovates Exposition' on September 11–12, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Organized as a flagship initiative alongside the 18th BRICS Summit under India’s chairship, the event aims to accelerate global recognition and commercialization for India's high-tech higher education innovation ecosystem. The exposition features a cohort of 37 deep-tech startups selected from an initial pool of 120 ventures that participated in the earlier international edition held in France. Aligned with India's BRICS theme of "Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability," the participating ventures span key technological sectors, including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, advanced materials, and clean energy solutions. Held concurrently with the BRICS Business Forum, the platform allows Indian innovators to pitch directly to global venture capital investors, corporate chief executives, and policy leaders from member nations. Government officials emphasized that the initiative creates a permanent global gateway for Indian academic research and laboratory breakthroughs to scale internationally into commercial enterprises, reinforcing India's emerging role as a global technology hub.
