Qualcomm Announces Selection of 15 APAC Startups for 2026 AI Innovator Program

Qualcomm Technologies, a leader in wireless technology and artificial intelligence, has recently unveiled the 15 innovative startups selected for its Qualcomm AI Program for Innovators (QAIPI) 2026 – Asia-Pacific (APAC). These startups, hailing from Japan, Singapore, and South Korea, are poised to advance the integration of sophisticated on-device AI solutions across a broad spectrum of industries. The initiative is a testament to Qualcomm's commitment to nurturing the AI ecosystem and driving digital transformation in the region. Under this strategic program, the selected companies will receive invaluable support designed to accelerate their development and commercialization of next-generation AI technologies. This includes equity-free mentorship from Qualcomm's expert teams, preferential access to cutting-edge hardware development platforms such as Qualcomm Snapdragon® and Dragonwing™ products, and the new Arduino® UNO™ Q development board. Participants will also benefit from technical guidance, training, and financial grants of up to $10,000 upon successful completion of the program, alongside eligibility for up to $5,000 in patent filing incentives. The startups are focusing on diverse applications, including smart healthcare, robotics, smart industry, smart cities, aerospace, and agriculture, showcasing the extensive potential for edge AI in practical industrial settings. The program's emphasis on 'on-device AI' is crucial, as it allows AI models to run directly on devices rather than relying solely on cloud servers. This approach offers significant advantages such as enhanced privacy, reduced latency for faster responses, and improved power efficiency, leading to longer battery life for consumer gadgets. The six-month mentorship phase will culminate in a Demo Day later in 2026, where these startups will present their AI solutions to industry leaders, investors, and potential collaborators, strengthening the APAC region's technological landscape and fostering a vibrant startup ecosystem.
