S. Ramya Appointed as New Deputy Commissioner of Chitradurga District

The Government of Karnataka has issued official transfer orders appointing 2013-batch IAS officer S. Ramya as the new Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Chitradurga district. Prior to this posting, S. Ramya was serving as the Managing Director of Karnataka Vidyuth Karkhane Limited (KAVIKA). She assumes the top administrative post in Chitradurga succeeding incumbent Deputy Commissioner T. Venkatesh, who has been transferred in the latest administrative reshuffle involving senior officers across the state. The administrative realignment comes at a crucial juncture for Chitradurga district, which faces key governance priorities including drought relief management, expediting the Upper Bhadra Lift Irrigation infrastructure, monitoring rural drinking water projects, and overseeing regional development initiatives.
