Samsung and Mistral AI Announce Strategic Partnership for Semiconductor Infrastructure

Global technology leader Samsung Electronics announced on September 8, 2026, a strategic partnership with French artificial intelligence startup Mistral AI to integrate advanced AI models into its semiconductor engineering and manufacturing operations. The major agreement was formally announced in Paris during the bilateral state summit between South Korea and France. As part of the collaboration, Samsung has also made a lead investment in Mistral AI's latest funding round. Under the partnership, Samsung will deploy Mistral's flagship large language models (LLMs), including Mistral Large, across its global semiconductor fabrication facilities. Operating fully on-premises ensures that highly sensitive technological data and mission-critical manufacturing workflows remain protected within Samsung's secure enterprise boundary.
