Samsung Launches Innovation Campus 2026 in Karnataka to Train 2,000 Students in AI

Samsung India has officially launched the 2026 edition of the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) in Karnataka, targeting 2,000 youth across the state to build job-ready skills in artificial intelligence (AI), Generative AI, coding, and Internet of Things (IoT). The initiative was inaugurated in Bengaluru by Karnataka Higher Education Minister Basavaraj Rayareddy at the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI). The training program is being implemented in partnership with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) and the Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC). Participants will undergo structured classroom and practical training, receiving mentorship from domain experts and hands-on exposure to real-world technology applications. The initiative aims to bridge the growing divide between academic curricula and industry requirements in emerging technologies. Speaking at the launch event, Higher Education Minister Basavaraj Rayareddy emphasized that active collaboration between academia and major industrial firms is critical to preparing students for high-technology careers. Samsung highlighted that the Karnataka rollout is part of its national effort to empower 20,000 youth across 10 states under its global corporate social responsibility vision. In previous cycles, women accounted for nearly half of the enrolled participants, ensuring gender inclusivity in technology education.
