Devanahalli taluk in Bengaluru Rural district is set to receive a major boost in skill training and industrial infrastructure with the inauguration of a new ₹156-crore Technology Centre on September 10, 2026. Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Sushri Shobha Karandlaje will inaugurate the state-of-the-art facility, established by the Ministry of MSME on 10 acres of land allocated by the Government of Karnataka.
The event will be attended by Karnataka Minister for Greater Bengaluru Development Krishna Byre Gowda and Minister for Small Scale Industries Vijayanand Kashappanavar, alongside industry leaders and government officials. The newly constructed campus features administrative, training, and production blocks, as well as hostels and residential facilities.
Focusing primarily on Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) and aerospace technologies, the Devanahalli centre will provide local youth with industry-ready skills and specialized technical training. It will also offer shared infrastructure, including advanced prototyping, design assistance, and testing labs, allowing local MSMEs to develop and validate high-tech products without capital-intensive equipment investments.
For residents and young job seekers across Devanahalli taluk, this development creates immediate pathways to high-skill technical employment in the burgeoning North Bengaluru industrial belt. An exhibition showcasing MSME achievements in the aerospace and defense sectors will also be featured during the launch event.
