HCLTech Launches ₹185 Crore Advanced Semiconductor Lab in Bengaluru

Indian IT services major HCLTech announced on September 8, 2026, the launch of its state-of-the-art Advanced Semiconductor Lab in Bengaluru, backed by an investment of ₹185 crore. Spanning 40,000 square feet, the facility features 25,000 square feet of Class 10K and Class 1K cleanrooms designed for end-to-end post-silicon engineering, chip validation, automated testing, and failure analysis. Equipped with cutting-edge measurement and testing tools from leading global hardware vendors including Teradyne, Advantest, Keysight, Tektronix, and Thermo Fisher Scientific, the lab operates under HCLTech's proprietary Spec2Parts model to streamline the process from initial design specifications to ready-to-deploy semiconductor chips. The newly established laboratory aims to address critical infrastructure bottlenecks in India's semiconductor ecosystem by providing comprehensive post-fabrication testing services. With over two decades of engineering expertise, HCLTech will utilize the center to cater to both domestic chip startups and international technology clients, drastically reducing product qualification times and operational complexity. Company leadership highlighted that the center will seek international quality accreditations, such as ISO 17025, ISO 9001, and aerospace-grade AS 9100 certifications, reinforcing India's strategic push to become a competitive global semiconductor hub.
