MLA Harish Gowda Launches ₹3.37 Crore Civic Works in Hunasuru, Including Lake Pipeline Project

Hunasuru MLA G.D. Harish Gowda initiated multiple local development projects totaling ₹3.37 crore across several villages in Bilikere hobli of Hunasuru taluk, Mysuru district. The ground-breaking ceremonies were conducted in the presence of local leaders and villagers in Singaramaranahalli, Yalachanahalli, Asvalu, Devagalli, Basavanahalli, and Hanumanthapura. Among the primary initiatives launched is an ₹85 lakh project under the Chief Minister's Infrastructure Development Scheme to lay a dedicated water pipeline to fill the Singaramaranahalli lake. This addresses a long-standing demand of local residents who have repeatedly petitioned for measures to restore the lake and recharge groundwater. Additionally, the MLA launched a ₹40 lakh concrete road construction project and laid the foundation stone for a ₹25 lakh Vokkaligara Bhavan in Singaramaranahalli. In Yalachanahalli village, he performed the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of a new Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan. Addressing residents during the events, MLA Harish Gowda emphasized that filling local lakes and upgrading rural road networks are essential steps toward improving agricultural livelihoods and civic amenities in Hunasuru taluk. Local leaders including Satish Papanna, M.B. Surendra, and Asvalu Kempegowda were present. For the rural farming communities of Bilikere hobli, the lake filling pipeline is expected to stabilize water availability and aid irrigation in surrounding agricultural plots.
