In a major boost to local civic infrastructure, Kittur MLA Babasaheb Patil has secured and launched development projects worth ₹4.25 crore for M.K. Hubballi town in Kitturu taluk of Belagavi district. The decision marks one of the largest single financial allocations made for the M.K. Hubballi town panchayat in recent years.
The MLA conducted ground-breaking ceremonies ('guddali pooja') across multiple wards in the town to initiate works on underground drainage (UGD) systems and concrete (CC) roads. During his visits to individual wards, he interacted directly with residents to address long-standing grievances related to sanitation, sewage overflow, and damaged local roads.
Addressing civic officials and town panchayat representatives, Patil emphasized that contractors have been strictly instructed to ensure high quality during construction. He urged town panchayat members and local authorities to work in coordination so that public funds are utilized efficiently without project delays.
For the residents of M.K. Hubballi and surrounding areas in Kitturu taluk, these infrastructure improvements are expected to mitigate seasonal waterlogging, upgrade internal road connectivity, and significantly improve public health and hygiene standards across all wards.
