The South Western Railway has initiated trial runs for the Vande Bharat Express on the demanding Sakleshpur–Subrahmanya Road ghat section, a crucial step towards establishing faster rail connectivity between Bengaluru and Mangaluru. These trials, featuring an Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system, aim to ensure safety and operational efficiency on the steep and winding terrain.
