This influx of capital reflects a heightened investor interest in robotics, autonomous systems, and AI-powered hardware, alongside a growing emphasis on collecting and utilizing real-world data for advanced AI training. The funding in 2026 alone has already surpassed previous years, including $130 million in 2025, $124 million in 2024, and $91 million in 2023, indicating a rapidly maturing ecosystem. A notable example of this trend is the home services startup Pronto, which is expanding its "Pronto Verified" service. This initiative involves the use of wearable cameras to gather anonymized footage during service sessions, which is then meticulously processed to train and refine AI models.
