Qualcomm Technologies has significantly advanced the artificial intelligence (AI) startup landscape in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region by selecting 15 innovative startups for its 2026 AI Program for Innovators (QAIPI). These pioneering companies, hailing from Japan, Singapore, and South Korea, are poised to develop cutting-edge on-device AI solutions across a broad spectrum of industries, including aerospace, agriculture, drones, healthcare, robotics, smart infrastructure, and the increasingly focused education sector.
The QAIPI 2026 initiative is a comprehensive incubation program aimed at nurturing next-generation AI technologies. Over a six-month mentorship phase, the selected startups will benefit from unparalleled access to Qualcomm's expert guidance, advanced hardware platforms like Snapdragon® and Dragonwing™ products, and the new Arduino® UNO™ Q development board. This robust support system also includes up to $2,500 for product development, eligibility for up to $5,000 in patent filing incentives, and a grant of up to $10,000 upon successful completion of the program.
This strategic investment by Qualcomm not only fortifies the AI startup ecosystem within the APAC region but also underscores the transformative potential of AI to address real-world challenges. By equipping these startups with critical resources and mentorship, Qualcomm is facilitating their journey from innovative ideas to commercially viable products, particularly emphasizing efficient and privacy-conscious on-device AI deployments. The program is set to culminate in a Demo Day in Q4 2026, where participants will showcase their solutions to industry leaders and investors, further enhancing their visibility and future success.
