Bantwal Taluk Launches 'Prajaseva Andolana' Public Grievance Drive at Polali

The Bantwal taluk administration has launched the statewide 'Prajaseva Andolana', a government initiative designed to directly address and resolve public grievances at the local level. In Bantwal taluk, the first hobli-level public meeting under this initiative was organized at the Sarvamangala Auditorium of the Sri Rajarajeshwari Temple in Polali, Kariangala village. Addressing a press conference, Bantwal Tahsildar Manjunath announced that local MLA Rajesh Naik would preside over the meeting, accompanied by senior officials from various taluk-level departments. The drive offers residents an accessible forum to submit petitions and discuss pressing local issues, including road repairs, drinking water supply, revenue records, social welfare pensions, basic village infrastructure, and government facilities. Under the new initiative, officials are instructed to provide immediate on-the-spot resolutions for eligible complaints. Petitions requiring detailed scrutiny or policy decisions will be routed to the respective departments for expedited action. To maintain continuity, the taluk administration plans to host hobli-level grievance meetings every Saturday across different hoblis, along with broader taluk-level review meetings on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. This systematic decentralization aims to save local citizens time and expense by bringing governance directly to their doorsteps.
