Single-Window Clearance System Launched for Ganeshotsava Clearances in Saraguru Taluk

To streamline permissions and prevent hassle for organizers during the upcoming Gowri-Ganesha festival, the Saraguru taluk administration has established a single-window system at the local taluk office. The decision was announced during a communal harmony and peace meeting held at the Saraguru Town Police Station premises ahead of the festival. Addressing festival committees and community leaders, Circle Inspector Prasanna Kumar stated that under the new mechanism, organizers are required to submit only a single application at the taluk office. Following submission, officials from key departments—including Revenue, Police, Gram Panchayat, and the Electricity Supply Company—will jointly inspect designated event sites, verify safety norms, and process the necessary No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) to grant final approval from a single counter. Previously, Ganeshotsava committees had to make repeated visits to multiple government offices for days to obtain separate clearances. Police officials cautioned that no idol installations or public events should take place without official authorization. PLD Bank Director Siddaraju, SC/ST Committee member Venugopal, Dalit Sangharsha Samiti leader Haliyuru Naganna, along with local community representatives and police staff, attended the peace meeting.
