Raichur District In-charge Minister and Minister for Minor Irrigation, Science, and Technology, Dr. Ajay Dharam Singh, officially launched the Karnataka government's ambitious outreach program 'Prajaseva' at Bashumiya Sahukar Government First Grade College in Manvi town, Raichur district. The initiative aims to bring governance directly to the doorsteps of citizens by reviewing local civic issues and resolving public grievances on the spot every week.
Speaking at the inauguration event, Dr. Singh stated that the Prajaseva drive is structured to eliminate administrative delays and ensure that government welfare benefits reach rural communities efficiently. He emphasized that the state government is prioritizing aspirational and backward taluks like Manvi to strip away historical tags of regional imbalance through direct administrative interventions. During the launch program in Manvi town, various government departments set up counters under one roof, where local residents submitted more than 214 petitions regarding drinking water issues, pension documentation, land revenue records, and rural infrastructure.
The minister assured citizens that administrative teams, led by local MLAs, Deputy Commissioners, Tahsildars, and Zilla Panchayat officers, will conduct review meetings every Wednesday to follow up on the status of pending applications.
