Foundation Stone Laid for ₹16-Crore 'Prajasaudha' Administrative Complex in Kaduru

Kadur MLA K.S. Anand laid the foundation stone for a new ₹16-crore Taluk Administrative Complex, named 'Prajasaudha', on the inspection bungalow premises in Kaduru town on September 2, 2026. Terming the occasion a historic milestone for Kaduru, the legislator highlighted that the complex will integrate various government departmental offices currently operating from rented or cramped spaces across the town under a single roof. The project holds symbolic significance as it commemorates Mahatma Gandhi's visit to Kaduru town in 1927. The contractor has been tasked with completing construction within 12 months, setting up a planned inauguration on August 18, 2027, by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to mark the centenary celebration of Gandhi's visit. To address civic issues surrounding the new complex, the administration plans to lengthen and widen the adjacent road to 30 feet to prevent traffic congestion. Additionally, land allocation for a new Taluk Panchayat building and a new court facility in the near future was announced. For residents of Kaduru taluk, the integrated complex will significantly streamline civic procedures, eliminating the need to visit multiple distant offices for official work.
