Mandya Police Step Up Security and Hold Peace Meeting in Maddur Ahead of Ganesha Festival

Ahead of the upcoming Gauri-Ganesha festival, the Mandya district police department has significantly tightened security measures across Maddur town to ensure peaceful celebrations and prevent any law and order disruptions during idol immersion processions. Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr. V.G. Shobha Rani personally led a security inspection team visiting key sensitive areas in Maddur, including Siddhartha Nagar, Sunni Chowk Mosque, Nagarakere Circle, and Old M.C. Road near Jamia Masjid. During the field inspection, the SP personally checked CCTV surveillance systems installed at strategic points and verified security readiness along the designated procession routes. Addressing a public peace meeting held with community leaders and organizers in Maddur, SP Shobha Rani urged all participants to strictly follow official rules and designated route maps. She sternly warned that strict legal action would be initiated against anyone attempting to disrupt peace, spread rumors, or indulge in unlawful activities during the festival. Additional police forces and patrolling contingents are being deployed across sensitive pockets of Maddur taluk to maintain continuous vigil throughout the festive period.
