Minister Basavaraj Rayareddy Warns Negligent Officials at Gunnala Event in Yelaburga

During the inauguration ceremony of a Pre-University College in Gunnala village, located in Yelaburga taluk of Koppal district, Karnataka Higher Education Minister and local MLA Basavaraj Rayareddy addressed local governance issues and issued a strict warning to administrative officials. The minister stated that non-performing officials who fail to execute public duties or disregard administrative instructions will face immediate dismissal from service. Addressing the public and administration from the stage, Rayareddy highlighted the heavy administrative responsibilities associated with the Higher Education department, which encompasses nearly 1.52 crore students and 96 universities across the state. Pointing out that his cabinet duties keep him extensively occupied outside the constituency, the minister directly instructed Yelaburga Tahsildar Prakash Nashi to function as his Public Relations Officer (PRO) in the taluk to handle citizen grievances and local administrative affairs. He also directed his personal assistant to process official correspondence and petitions using digital signatures to prevent delays in governance. In addition to warning administrative officers against official lethargy, Minister Rayareddy assured residents of Yelaburga taluk that all five guarantee schemes of the state government will continue seamlessly. The minister emphasized that local officers must prioritize public welfare and administrative efficiency to ensure government benefits reach rural residents without bureaucratic hurdles.
