'Praja Seva Abhiyana' Launched in Channapatna to Address Public Grievances

District In-charge and Municipal Administration Minister H.C. Balakrishna launched the government's flagship public grievance redressal initiative, 'Praja Seva Andolana', at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan in Channapattana town, Ramanagara district. The drive aimed to bring public administration directly to citizens' doorsteps and address long-pending civic and administrative grievances in a time-bound manner. Local MLA C.P. Yogeshwar, Deputy Commissioner Yashwanth V. Gurukar, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Anmol Jain, and Superintendent of Police Rohan Jagadeesh were among the dignitaries present at the event. During the day-long drive, local residents and farmers submitted nearly 800 to 900 petitions seeking solutions to pressing issues including drinking water scarcity, land phodi and durasthi work, pension processing, and residential site allocations. Addressing the gathering, Minister Balakrishna highlighted that the campaign reflects the state government's commitment to transparent and accessible governance. He directed department heads to review all submitted applications on the spot and resolve legally compliant grievances within three days. MLA Yogeshwar urged officials to work with dedication to ensure that public issues are resolved without unnecessary delays. Dedicated computer counters equipped with internet facilities were set up at the venue to ensure smooth registration and online tracking of applications for Channapattana residents.
