The annual KUSUMA Sports Meet 2026 was organized under the aegis of the Rural Unaided Schools Management Federation (KUSUMA) at the Sri Nandi School ground in Badanahatti village, located in Kurugodu taluk of Ballari district. The event witnessed energetic participation from over 600 primary and high school students representing 22 private unaided rural schools from various villages across Kurugodu taluk.
The participating students showcased their athletic skills and sportsmanship in a wide variety of track, field, and team events. Local school management leaders, physical education instructors, and community members encouraged the young athletes throughout the tournament, highlighting the critical role of physical education, discipline, and rural sports talent in the holistic development of children. The event provided an important platform for students from rural backgrounds to showcase their talents, build confidence, and foster camaraderie among schools across the taluk.
